History
The Almonte Quilters Guild (AQG) was established in Almonte, Ontario, Canada on Monday, September 27, 2004.
The initial meeting was attended by approximately 50 individuals and by the annual meeting on June 27th, 2005, there were 59 registered members.
Sue Shute and Joni Newman were instrumental in the formation of the group and remained key people in the Guild. The status of the group was formalized by the creation of a constitution developed and accepted by the membership in June 2006, with a recent revision and approval by the elected Guild Executive in May, 2010.
